Physical DescriptionThis rectangular paperweight is made of white marble. On the top is a round metal plaque, enameled in white with a gold rim. The plaque is lettered "CITY OF YAKIMA" in gold, with a green and red apple logo of the city of Yakima, WA. Below that is a metal plaque engraved "1981." The Bottom has a cork liner and a silver sticker lettered "PAPERWEIGHTS, INC. GARDEN CITY PARK. NEW YORK, 11040 (516) 741-2800."Historical NoteThe plaque was given to advanceman Rick Ahearn for President Reagan during a dinner celebrating President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan's 29th wedding anniversary at the Jockey Club in Washington DC, on March 4, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
