Physical DescriptionA political cartoon. A man, whose body is in the shape of the state of California and lettered “CALIF.” is wearing a suit with a bow tie and a fedora. He has a belt pulled tightly around his waist, making his waist almost nothing. There is a second man in a suit, tie, and fedora peeking around his left side. The cartoon is captioned "MY TAILOR? HIS NAME IS REAGAN" across the top. “2-8-67 CARL HUBENTHAL L.A. HERALD-EXAMINER” is In the bottom right corner. There is a black border around the cartoon. It is framed in a black frame with a gray mat. The back is covered in brown paper with two gold bell hangers on the sides. In the lower right is a gold sticker lettered “INT’ART 543B Country Club Drive Simi Valley, CA 93065 (805) 522-5163” in black. Below it is written “L. LINDAUER 10-4-94” in ink.
Historical NoteThe cartoon is from when Ronald Reagan was governor of California, and was on display at Rancho del Cielo until August 1985.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a non-gift taken in and saved during the Reagan administration for eventual deposit in a Presidential Library. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
