Physical DescriptionThis is a stainless steel fixed-blade knife with a wrapped leather handle and sheath. The handle and sheath are made of the same light-toned leather and decorated with a geometrical design. The front of the blade is engraved with "El CJE ARGENTINO TTE GRL D LEOPOLDO F GALTIERI A SE EL Sr PRESIDENTE DE LOS EE UU DE AMERICA D RONALD REAGAN DIC 1981." The reverse of the blade is stamped with "Heinr Boker & Co. solingen-alemania Arbolito."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and was on display at Rancho del Cielo until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
