Physical DescriptionThis is a light-toned wooden stool with three legs; each leg is inscribed with one of the words "Government, Labor, or Capital" as part of a riddle written on the underside of the stool: "To President Reagan Question: which leg can you remove and still have a balanced economy? Answer: You must have government, capital, and labor to have a successful economic system! From Holly Scrogham Globe Az."

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
