Physical DescriptionA silver-colored metal plate depicting the great seal of the state of Nebraska. Around the seal is text dating "GREAT SEAL OF THE STATE OF NEBRASKA MARCH 1st 1867." Stamped in the back is an eligible maker's mark stamped into the metal.Historical NoteOn March 1, 1986 Nebraska entered the Union as the 37th state. It was given when the Miss United Teenagers group toured the White House on December 29, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
