Physical DescriptionA white ceramic decorative plate with a gold gilt edsge and gilt Great Seal of the United States surrounded by the 5 seals of the United States Armed Forces, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and  Coast Guard, with the text "COMMANDER IN CHIEF RONALD REAGAN-JAN 20, 1981." The bottom of the plate is stamped with a maker's mark reading "1950 University BLVD N. Jacksonville, Florida Bill's Mug Shop," with an image of an alligator in black.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
