Physical DescriptionA rounded-edged rectangular belt buckle with an image depicting a buffalo standing on railroad tracks with mountains in the background, "1882-1982" at the top center interior edge, and "Billings Montana" at the bottom center interior edge. The back of the buckle has text stating, "REGISTERED COLLECTION SOLID BRASS MN-0841, (C) 1981 HERITAGE MNT."
Historical NoteThe buckle was given after President Ronald Reagan visited Billings, MT on August 11, 1982 to give remarks at the Centennial of Billings and Yellowstone County and to attended a fundraising event for Senate Candidate Larry Williams.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
