Physical DescriptionAn oil painting titled "The High Plains" by Linda Budge. The painting depicts a group of American pronghorns on a sparse hill at sunset. The group consists of one buck and three does. The inscription on the back of the painting states, "B190' HIGH PLAINS' 1982 by LINDA BUDGE LARAMIE, WYOMING THE AMERICAN PRONGHORN."
Historical NoteThe painting was given in advance of a scheduled trip by President Ronald Reagan to Laramie, WY in May 1982. During the administration it was on display at Rancho del Cielo in the ranch's guest house. For many more years, it was displayed outside of President Reagan's office in his private quarters at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and was on display at Rancho del Cielo until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
