Physical DescriptionA hand-painted circular box and lid with an American folk art design. The design depicts a woman in a pink dress holding a pink rose and a soldier in a black uniform. At the top of the box is text stating, “Good Day, My Noble Rose & Beautiful Lady,” with additional roses on a green background. On the inside of the box are two gray/blue circles surrounded by pink roses, and inside the circle on the lid is text stating, “Hand Painted By Carolanne Ferguson, #0482018.”Historical NoteThe box was a gift for the Reagans' 30th anniversary.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
