Physical DescriptionA glass sculpture of a Madonna and Child (.01a) is mounted on a black base (.01b). On the base is a sterling silver plaque with engraved text stating, "Man of the Year Award President Ronald Reagan Board of Fellows, University of Santa Clara 1983."
Historical NoteUniversity of Santa Clara Man of the Year award 1983. The award is represented by a Lalique crystal sculpture in the shape of the Madonna and Child, on a black base with a silver plaque. President Reagan greeted the Santa Clara Board of Fellows on the south grounds of the university on October 7, 1983.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
