Physical DescriptionAn oval brass belt buckle with a blackened finish and cut rope design on the edge. The text on the buckle states "OKLAHOMA CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION" and "RONALD REAGAN" in ribbon detail on top and bottom. The Cattlemen's Association logo, raised letters "OCA" in the shape of a steer's head, is in the center. A loop and pin fastener is on the back. Lettered "© AWARD DESIGN MEDALS, INC. P.O. BOX 688 NORMAN, OKLA. 73070 SOLID BRASS" in raised letters.Historical NoteThe buckle was given to President Reagan through John F. “Jack” Burgess, Office of Public Liaison, after his trip to Oklahoma March 15, 1982.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
