Physical DescriptionA round belt buckle made out of stained glass depicting a brown horse head with a light blue background. On the back of the belt buckle are two small metal plaques that have been inscribed "John Baralotta Meriden, CT."
Historical NoteThe belt buckle was given during President Ronald Reagan's trip to Italy on June 7, 1982 where he met with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican and with President Pertini in Rome. The gifter was an American who was vacationing in Rome at the same time.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
