Physical DescriptionA ceramic sculpture depicting an American cowboy in chaps holding a saddle and standing beside his dog is titled "Pine Johnson And His Shadow Ole Brown" by J. Largo. The base is inscribed "LIMITED EDITION 639/5000 LARGO (c) MCMLXXX."Historical NoteThe sculpture was given during a photo op with Everett Grindstaff, the President of International Association of Lions Clubs, in the Oval Office on November 10, 1982. President Reagan, Nancy Reagan, Everett Grindstaff, Jeanette Grindstaff, and Carlton Turner, the Director of the Drug Abuse Policy Office, met to recognize the Lions Clubs' anti-drug efforts.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
