Physical DescriptionA circular jewelry box (.01a-k) made of lacquered wood with a gold design overlay. The interior compartments are made of black lacquered wood and are removable.
Historical NoteThis circular gold lacquered wood box has smaller removable interior compartments for jewelry. It was a Gift to First Lady Nancy Reagan from Dorothy Gyi when her husband, Maung Maung Gyi, presented his diplomatic credentials on November 28, 1984.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
