Physical DescriptionThis sterling silver mint julep cup has beaded rims engraved with the Presidential Seal on the front. On the bottom, it is engraved "With Complements of Mark J. Scearce '' in the script in the center and "MARK J. SCEARCE SHELBYVILLE KENTUCKY '' at the top. There is a small stamped eagle with "RWR'' on the left.Historical NoteThe julep cup is copied from an original made in Kentucky c. 1795.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
