Physical DescriptionAn extremely rare, near-perfect natural 13mm pearl. (.a) In a black leather covered box (.b) with gold trim, lined in black velvet with the lid lined in white satin, and gold clasp.
Historical NoteThis extremely rare near perfect pearl measures 13mm in diameter. It was a gift of Nobusuke Kishi, who was a former Prime Minister of Japan, when he visited Washington, DC in 1984.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
