Physical DescriptionA miniature branding made of silver. The branding ironhead reads "Clark County." The handle of iron reads "Clark County, Nevada" on the top and "Home of the Las Vegas Strip" on the underside. The end of the handle curls into a hook shape around the colored emblem of "Clark County, Nevada." The emblem has a white border with text and an interior yellow circle with a desert scene depicting the sun, mountains, flowers, and a cactus-like plant.Historical NoteIt was given after President Reagan's meeting with members of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Counties in the Cabinet Room at the White House July 1, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
