Physical DescriptionA walking stick or cane with a carved and painted eagle head for a handle. The cane shaft is engraved with text stating, "Respectfully C.H. Henderson April 1984" and "President Reagan, May God always walk with you."Historical NoteThe cane was given when President Ronald Reagan visited Sacramento, Woodland Hills, San Diego, and Los Angeles, CA in early November 1984 for Reagan-Bush Rallies leading up to the 1984 Presidential Election.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
