A document taped to the back of the painting reads, "Town of Lake Luzerne, New York, 12846 office of the Town Justice, State of New York, County of Warren ss. Town of Lake Luzerne on the 14th day of March nineteen hundred eighty-one before me came Lynn M. Benevento, to me known and known to me to be the individual described in, and who executed this painting, and she acknowledged that she executed the same. Harold G. Cronin Town Justice Town of Lake Luzerne." Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
