Physical DescriptionA bronze sculpture of an American cowboy and an Indian as part of the “Man of the West” Award. The cowboy is standing and pointing in front of him while the Indian is crouching and holding on to a spear while looking the way the cowboy is pointing. The sculpture is mounted on a wood base with a bronze plaque with text stating, "PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN A.I.C.A. 1984 'MAN OF THE WEST' BY RICHARD A. MYER."Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
