Physical DescriptionThis is a 4-short revolving flintlock handcrafted by Joe Silcock with nickel plating and engraving by A. Wayne Place, Maurice M., Michael P. Lueken, and Andrew M. Lueken. The handle is made of light-toned wood. The gun is engraved along the metal part of the handle “PRESENTED TO RONALD W. REAGAN 1982.” There is a second engraving above the trigger stating “JOE SILCOCK.”Historical NoteDuring the administration, the gun was on display at Rancho del Cielo.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
