In the background is an image of foliage and a street light. Over the image is text stating "I'm not as innocent as I seem,” “Poverty,” “Nuclear Power,” “Foreign Policy,” “Risks,” “Revolution,” “Trouble,” and “Draft Registration." The back of the postcard is inscribed, "Dear Mr. Reagan Nothing against you personally. But Mr. Anderson is MY MAN! Anderson For President Committee."
Historical NoteStudents at Fremont Ross High School in Fremont, OH made handmade postcards which they sent to the Reagan-Bush Committee during the election of 1980. These postcards have political themes such as the threat of nuclear war, democracy, Iran, the cost of gasoline, and taxes. This particular maker was a supporter of Rep. John B. Anderson (R-IL, 1961-1981), who ultimately ran in the 1980 election as an Independent.
