Physical DescriptionA clear glass 12 oz. tabasco pepper sauce jar with a green plastic lid and paper label stating "This vintage Tabasco has been especially bottled to become the private stock of President Ronald Reagan, presented with due ceremony in the best tradition of the Mc Llhenny Company Walter M. Mcllhenny". Included with the jar is a colorful cardboard box with images of the tabasco sauce on the outside.Historical NoteThe Tabasco bottle was presented to Second Lady Barbara Bush for President Reagan at a reception held at Number One Observatory Circle, the Vice President's official residence.Additional DetailsBottle: 8 × 2 3/4 in. Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
