Physical DescriptionA silver Hanukkah menorah, hanukiah, (a) with rounded branches with a wrapped design and small raised flowers on the candelabrum stem and base. The base also has raised open-circle designs in concentric circles and is dotted with flowers. The shamash holder (b) is detachable. It lacks a pitcher to suggest it is an oil candle menorah, but the candle holders are deep, so it is unclear whether it is a menorah that would use oil and wicks or candles.Historical NoteThe menorah was given by the American Friends of Lubavitch in their annual meeting with President Reagan in the Oval Office, held on on December 15, 1987.
