Physical DescriptionA rectangular belt buckle with text at the top stating, "1957 25 YEARS 1982", text at the center "HCWA", and text at the bottom "NFIU-228 HESSTON KANSAS" set over the image of wheat and a sunflower. On the back of the buckle is text stating, "The Hesston Corporation Worker's Association, founded in 1957, stands proud as the worker's friend. This Silver Anniversary Buckle is presented to a loyal member. Its award indicates integrity and honor. One of 1050 LIMITED EDITION, Siskiyou Buckle Co, Inc. WILLIAMS, OREGON."Historical NoteThe buckle was given when President Ronald Reagan met with the leadership of the National Federation of Independent Unions (NFIU) in the Cabinet Room on April 11, 1983.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
