Leonard StarrAmerican Cartoonist, 1925-2015

Leonard Starr is best known for working on the comic strip Annie. Little Orphan Annie debuted in 1924, but only published reprints from 1974-1979. Starr resurrected the strip as Annie in 1979, and drew it until 2000. He also worked on the Human Torch, Morbius, and the Sub-Mariner for Marvel Comics, and created the comic strip On Stage/Mary Perkins. Starr was the head writer on the animated television show Thundercats.
