William Joseph Casey (b. March 13, 1913, New York City, New York-d. May 6, 1987, Roslyn Harbor, New York) was the Director of Central Intelligence of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from January 28, 1981 to January 29, 1987. Previously, Casey served as Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs from February 2, 1973 to March 14, 1974 and Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission from April 14, 1971 to February 2, 1973.
