Physical DescriptionA porcelain figure of a man in 18th c. dress with a large bowl. He is wearing a white patterned shirt, purple coat trimmed in gold, yellow, and gold waistcoat, red, white, and blue patterned belt, green breeches, gloves, a white and pink hat, white hose, and brown boots. The bowl is white patterned with small blue repeating flowers, a scalloped edge trimmed in gold, and two handles. The bow is resting partially on the base, which is white and gold. The bottom has a red logo of an orb topped with a crown and lettered “KPM” in red and a blue floral design next to it.
Historical NotePorcelain figure representing Winter from The Seasons series by Nymphenburg Porcelain, from a design by Friedrich Elias Meyer c.1762. It was given to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the State Visit of Chancellor and Mrs. Kohl, November 15, 1982.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Nancy Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
