Physical DescriptionGolf ball (a) autographed Elden Auker, with letter (b) [Pitcher, Detroit Tigers (1933-1938),Boston Red Sox (1939), St. Louis Browns (1940-1942), 1935 World Series Champion, letter states "Dear Mr. Reagan, Read an article about your first interview as a major league broadcaster was with Elden Auker, Thought I would surprise you with this ball autographed to you from Elden. I wrote him and had him do one for you. I personally have a collection of over 1,000 autographed baseballs and golf balls of players from the 1920s-1940's. We get golf balls signed because the signatures will not fade and will last forever."Sent you a picture of my collection months ago and attempted to get your autograph for by broadcasters section, however, they said you get too much mail. I surely understand. Hope you enjoy the Auker ball and display it. He is doing fine and now lives in Vera Beach, Florida. He was a great pitcher with he Tigers and a nice man.
