Physical DescriptionA pair of square bookends, each with a miniature pistol inside a lucite block with a blue background. They each have small plaques lettered "N.R.A. REGIONAL MATCH," "WINNING TEAM," and "1981." The pistols are mounted on blue plastic and then covered with clear plastic, making the base of the bookends deeper than the top.Historical NoteThe bookends represented the Two-Man and Four-Man team shooting awards. The Secret Service Pistol Team presented gifts to President Reagan in the Map Room during a photo op on June 16, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President Office of Correspondence and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
