Physical DescriptionA commemorative medal for the 1981 International Meeting on Cooperation and Development. The medal is made out of a silver-toned metal embossed on both sides. The obverse has the logo for the event and the text “Cancun 1981.” The reverse features the Mexican seal and the text “Estados Unidos Mexicanos.”
Historical NoteThe medal was given during a trip to Cancún, Mexico, for the International Meeting on Cooperation and Development, held October 21-24, 1981.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Ronald Reagan during the Reagan administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January, 1989 for deposit with the Reagan Presidential Library.
